PRIVACY POLICY

Vice City Mission is an unofficial fan site. We collect as little as we can, never sell it, and only use it to run the site.

What we collect

• Your email address, if you sign up for updates. We use it only to email you about this site (for example, when the map goes live). Every email has an unsubscribe link.
• Map pins you add: the name, category, details and location you enter. These are public.
• An anonymous voter cookie (vcm_voter), a random ID that stops one browser voting on the same pin twice. It isn't linked to who you are.
• A scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, stored with pins and kept briefly for rate limits, to block spam. We don't store your raw IP address.
• Tracker progress stays in your own browser. We never see it.
• Anonymous visit statistics through Vercel Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or identify individual visitors.

Who processes it

• Vercel hosts the site.
• Turso stores the database.
• Resend delivers our emails.

They handle data only to provide those services to us.

How long we keep it

Your email stays on the list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Pins stay up until they're removed. Rate-limit records are deleted after 24 hours.

Your choices

Unsubscribe with the link in any email. To have your email or a pin deleted, or to ask what we hold about you, email hello@vicecitymission.com. If you're in the EU, UK or California you also have the right to access, correct or erase your data, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This site isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
